Barware

This is all the tools you will need to create your cocktail, if you don't have any of these don't worry we will provide you alternatives.

  • Matcha Bowl: For the bowl any bowl can work but if you have a ceramic one even better.
  • Matcha Whisk: For this we have several alternatives. First a metal whisk or electronic whisk, a blender can also work. Now if you don't have any of those a fork will work, just be prepared for a little workout.
  • Jigger: If you want to be precise when making your drink and do not have the jigger a measuring spoon can work great and for larger volume a measuring cup can do the work.
  • Cocktail Shaker: An alternative for this is quite easy, basically any jar or bottle with a lid will work just fine.
  • Cocktail Strainer: A tea strainer would work great or any type of strainer but the finer the mesh the better.

Ingredients

Adjusting recipe amounts

To easily adjust the amounts of ingredients in your cocktail recipes, just add cooked.wiki before the recipe URL.

  • 1/ 4 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1 tablespoon hot water 175°F (79°C)
  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 egg white

Preparation

Step One.

Whisk matcha in a small bowl, whisk together the 1/4 tsp matcha powder with 1 tbsp of hot water at 175°F (79°C) until no clumps remain.

Step Two.

Add gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, matcha, and egg white to a shaker. Close and dry shake (without ice) vigorously for 1 minute until frothy.

Step Three.

Next, add ice and shake again until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and shake out the frothy egg white.

Step Four.

Garnish. Dust with matcha powder and enjoy!
